Peter Janu, MD
Peter Janu, MD, is a surgeon with a special interest in heartburn and reflux disease, as well as minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques, endoscopic surgery, robotic surgery, nutritional support and hernia surgery. Dr. Janu developed the region’s first Reflux Center of Excellence and had served as its director since inception. He has received national recognition for minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of heartburn and reflux, and has been teaching and proctoring other physicians both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Janu joined Fox Valley Surgical Associates in 2019. Serving patients in Northeast Wisconsin for 50 years, Fox Valley Surgical Associates (FVSA) has developed a reputation for providing exceptional medical and surgical care in the latest surgical treatments, care techniques, and technologies.
Dr. Janu has been a life-long Wisconsin resident since his family moved from the Czech Republic to Milwaukee 50 years ago. He speaks Czech but with an American accent. He has 3 sons and enjoys biking, sailing, and skiing He is a so-so golfer but still enjoys playing, and loves watching the Badgers and the Packers.
